How I Got Inspired To Create A Modern Life With Larry & Friends.
By Wesley A. Smith
When I was a kid at the age of 12, I watch a lot of old cartoons, play video games, watching movie actors and voice actors, reading historic moments of the 20th and the 21st centuries, watching youtube celebrities, and appreciate old school music. I thought to myself, how about I make my very own original cartoon. That is why I became an artist and write stories and comics.
#1. The Title: The title called A Modern Life With Larry & Friends is about living in the twenty-first-century but still contains crazy situations and mythical wonders.
#2. The Theme: The story is a modern slash 60's, 70's, and 80's to be like the original tv shows with action, romance, and fiction. But with modern elements to it. The story was originally meant to be a silly sitcom. The characters that live in a fictional island called Warwick Island has a lot of european atmosphere, and a little bit of american. Warwick Island has two islands on it's sides and almost the same size. Robert Tom Warwick, the founder of Warwick Island was inspired by Warwick Davis.
Larry and his some of his friends disobeyed Mayor Charles Wolff to go near the islands that is against the law because of the dangers over there. Which started the adventure and conflict. A fictional island I created is called McCartney Redwood Island and it's in Europe. It's based on Camelot and it's a european modern city. I also used Paul McCartney's last name. Reminisce Island is based on The Forest Moon Of Endor. Half Island is based on Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Everest Island is based on the Mountain Quarries Bridge and Mount Everest. Creek Island is an original island I created and it's named after the creek indians. The last of the isolated Islands is called Stone Island. It's based on Oak Island, and the Grail Temple in Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade.
#3. Story/Plot: The story was inspired by the Goonies, where the young characters discovered a map and searching for the treasure while the bad guys want the treasure for themselves. In my story, David Greenwood the main antagonist is searching for the cursed treasure along with company he hired, and has to find someone to break the curse.
